Golden Goodie is a 2008 Olympic gold medallist and 2009 World and European Laser Champion. Paul won gold in Beijing and went on to win every event he entered in 2009 cementing his place as one of the most exciting sailors of his generation. In September 2011 he was selected to represent Great Britain in the Laser class at London 2012. Sadly his hopes for a second consecutive gold medal were made unachievable when he suffered a back injury early into the games. He finished the event in 7th place overall and has recently announced his break from the class to concentrate on big boat racing.
